Classroom communication is centred around
a planned unit of instruction in a stipulated
period of time which does not leave any
scope for opportunism whether for the teacher
or the taught. So, opportunistic meaning is
not possible. Classroom communication
involves lecturing or interactive teaching-
learning ideally in a noise-free environment.
So, it does not involve noise-level meaning.
Students decode or understand the lesson,
though in varying degrees; so, it is not non-
coded meaning, either. However, since the
lesson is time-bound, there is little scope
for reflective thinking; hence, the level of
meaning is surfacial only.
Anumana or inference Pramana is using
observation, previous truths and reason to
reach a new conclusion and truth; e.g., if one
observes smoke, one can infer that there must
be fire. Similarly, the existence of God was
logically proved as an anumana or inference
of the fruitlessness in the actions of men as
the following line from Nyaya Sutra says:
isvarah karanam
purusakarmaphalyadarsanat
which means, God is the cause; because we
find fruitlessness in the actions of men.
