Teaching is a planned activity/process carried
out with the aim of fulfilling certain learning
objectives and achieving certain learning
outcomes. The teacher/teaching is effective
if s/he ensures the learning outcomes with
children motivated for self-learning. In such
a scenario, less effort on the teacher's part
and less use of aids and resources is required.

aspect of personal growth. 'Intelligent'
pertains to higher order thinking skills.
'Practical' is concerned with actual practice
or use of theories and ideas.

A hypothesis should be simple and clear
rather than obscure/convoluted/complex or
complicated. It cannot be generic because
the research is specific.
Peer teachers feel more comfortable and
open when interacting with a peer as they
share a similar discourse, allowing for greater
understanding. They reinforce their own
learning by instructing others.
Primary sources are documents, images or
artefacts that provide firsthand testimony or
direct evidence concerning a historical topic
under research investigation. Primary sources
include historical and legal documents,
eyewitness accounts, interviews, surveys,
fieldwork, collective questionnaire, email
communication. In the natural and social
sciences, primary sources are often empirical
research in which an experiment is performed
or a direct observation is made; its results
being typically included in the report.
The purpose of explanatory research is to
increase the understanding of a researcher on a
certain subject. It does not provide conclusive
results for want of statistical data but makes
the researcher determine the how and why of
the subject under study; or, build/ elaborate
/extend/ test existing theory.
