What is CTET exam pattern?

 

CTET Syllabus is set by CBSE , which has different sections along with two languages. Both languages 1 and 2 are mandatory. There are  two Papers (Paper 1 is for class 1st to 5th and Paper 2 is for 5th to 8th) which have different Exam Patterns, difficulty level, and different syllabus.

Candidates must score minimum of 60% to get the certified.

  • Language I will focus on proficiencies which relates to the medium of instruction.
  • Language II section will be focusing on the elements of language like the communication and comprehension abilities. Language II will be different than Language I. It is up to the candidate where he can choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II.

  • Paper-I is for the applicants who want to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper-II is for the applicants who want to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

What is the Syllabus for CTET?

CTET Paper 1 is for candidates who want to become teachers of primary classes.

CTET Syllabus for Paper 2:-

Paper 2 of CTET 2021 is for the candidates who want to become teachers for class 5 to class 8. This exam will be of four mandatory parts. The fourth section will be based on the candidate’s choice which he can choose as per his subject or the subject which he wants to teach.

What is the eligibility criteria to qualify CTET?

The applicant of CTET exam must possess with minimum he eligibility criteria is as below:

  1. Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks.
  2. Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or
  3. Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor or Education (B.Ed).

Note:

Relaxation is given up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification for eligibility to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, like SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.


What is the salary of a CTET teacher?

The candidate who passes the CTET exam will be eligible for government job. Once they clear the exam they will have to go through the written and interview process according to the different schools. The candidate also can apply for the private schools where he can get the decent salary.

In government schools, the teacher for primary section gets the salary of RS. 35,000 to RS. 37,000. The teacher for the upper primary gets the salary of RS. 43,000 to RS. 46,000. Whereas in private schools the salary will be different which depends on the city and the standard of the school.


How do you prepare for CTET?

CTET or Teacher Eligibility Test is an entrance test which is conducted twice in a year to hire the teachers in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8 in pan India.
