in Rajasthan. It was launched In January
2016 to make the state drought free by 2020.
Maharashtra government has launched the
project "Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan" in a bid
to make Maharashtra a drought-free state
by 2019.
On 15th August 2017, the Andhra Pradesh government launched Neeti Samrakshana Udyamam (water conservation movement), which is aimed at providing water security in the state and has a target of building 20,000 check dams in 90 days.
The government of Gujarat has launched the second edition of the water conservation scheme Sujalam Sufalam Jal Sanchay Abhiyan.
