6 A solid cuboid is formed by mutual joining of 24 cubes of 1 cm side. If perimeter of the base of this cuboid is 12 cm, then height of cuboid will be

Volume of 24 cubes
= 24 x 1 = 24 cm³ .
Let the length, breadth and height of
cuboid are, l, b and h.
Ibh = 24 ... (i)
According to the question,
2(l+b)=12.
1+ b=6.
So, 1=4,b=2
From (i), Ibh = 24
h= 24/8 =3 cm

7 The ratio of volumes of 2 cubes is 27 : 64. What will be the ratio of the areas of surfaces?
