Explanation : The rain forests are mainly found near the
equatorial region. They are very dense forests
and also known as 'Lungs of the World.' By
cutting this area rapidly, we can face several
long term effects which includes habitat
destruction of biodiversity, losing out valuable
potential herbs, forest produce and food etc,
increase rate of soil erosion in those areas,
increase the emission of Greenhouse gases,
effect the climate change and enhance the
possibility of natural calamities.
