NTA has declared the scorecards, final answer key, and category-wise cut-off marks for the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination of English, Commerce, and Sociology on September 17-18, 2026.
UGC NET June 2026 Category-Wise Cut-Off Marks Released
Official category-wise cut-off marks for the re-conducted English, Commerce, and Sociology exams are out. For Commerce (Unreserved), JRF cutoff is 210 and Assistant Professor cutoff is 182 marks.
UGC NET December 2026 Exam Dates Announced
NTA released its examination calendar for the UGC NET December 2026 cycle. The exam will be held from December 14 to December 19, 2026, with December 20 and 21 as buffer dates.

Educational Qualification
- Master's degree in Commerce or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's degree.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third Gender categories require at least 50% marks.
- Final Year Students can apply provisionally.
Age Limit for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
- Maximum Age: 30 years (relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per govt norms).
Age Limit for Assistant Professor
- No upper age limit.
Nationality
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen (or otherwise eligible under the conditions specified by the NTA/UGC).
Eligible Postgraduate Degrees
- Master of Commerce (M.Com)/ M.Com (Hons.)
- Master of Financial Management (MFM)
- Master of Business Economics (MBE)
- MBA (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, HR, etc.)
- PGDM (equivalent to MBA and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU))
- Master of Interrrrrr
- ational Business (MIB)
- Other equivalent postgraduate degrees in Commerce or related disciplines recognized by UGC/NTA.
