Explanation : The United Nations Millennium Development Goals are eight goals that all 191 UN member states have agreed
to try to achieve by the year 2015. The
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
will guide United Nations Development
Programme Policy until 2030. In September
2015 at the UN General Assembly Summit,
193 member states adopted 2030 Agenda
for Sustainable Development in which the
17 SDGs and 169 targets are included. It
came into effect on 1 January 2016.
