Sampling error is the deviation of the selected sample from the true characteristics, traits, behaviours, qualities or figures of the entire population.
Errors which are due to the factors other than sampling are called non-sampling errors. A non-sampling error occurs during data collection, causing the data to differ from the true values. It can be of different kinds. Sampling related error occurs when a unit in the sample is incorrectly excluded or included, or is duplicated in the sample.
