Explanation : The International Solar Alliance (ISA), which
was jointly launched by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and France's then President
Francois Hollande in November 2015 on
the sidelines of COP21. It is an international
treaty-based alliance of 121 solar-rich
countries situated fully or partially between
the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. ISA's
goal is to produce 1 trillion watt (1000 GW)
of solar energy by 2030. ISA headquarter is
located in Gurgaon (Haryana).
