Explanation : The trophic state of a lake is determined by
the amount of biologically useful nutrients
dissolved in the waters of the lake. A water
body can be oligotrophic, mesotrophic,
eutrophic, and hypereutropic. Oligotrophic
Lake is a lake with low productivity, low
nutrients and clear water with drinking water
quality. Algal blooms occur very rarely
in oligotrophic lakes while it occurs very
frequently in Eutrophic lakes.
