Consider the following table that shows the distribution of students in two sections A and B in a school according to the marks obtained by them. There is a total of 45 students in each of sections A and B. Answer the questions based on the data contained in the table:

  • Explanation : Number of students in Section A have obtained more than 50 marks = 4 + 7 + 5 = 16.
    Number of students in Section B have obtained more than 50 marks = 5 + 5 + 6 = 16.
    Total number of students have obtained more than 50 marks in both Sections
    = 16+ 16 = 32.
