Explanation : India has a rich tradition of learning and
education right from the antiquity. During
Buddhist period there some important
universities such as Taxila, Nalanda,
Vallabhi, Vikramshila, Odantpuri, Nadia,
Mithila and Jagaddala were established.
They have different specialities. Mithila
had been important centre of learning and
literature, fine arts, scientific subjects and
Nyaya Shastra were taught there. Gangesha
Upadhya founded a shool of New logic
(Navya Nyaya) there.
