PAPER PATTERN OF UGC NET PAPER 1 :

NTA UGC NET Exam will be conducted in online mode. 

  • The nature of questions for both the papers will be objective type.
  • Multiple Choice Type (MCQs) questions will be in UGC NET 2020 
  • The question with four options, candidates must select the most appropriate answer. 
  • Free movement between papers. 
  • All questions are compulsory.

 NTA UGC NET Exam comprises of two papers – UGC NET Paper 1 and  Paper 2.  NTA UGC NET Paper 1 is common and compulsory for the post of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for every candidate.
As we know NTA UGC NET 1 paper will be asked 50 questions and each question will be for 2 marks, a total of 50 questions worth of 100 marks. UGC first paper has a total of 10 units and 5 questions will be asked from each unit. See the detailed and download

ELIGIBILITY FOR UGC NET PAPER 1:

For General/ EWS (Including candidates waiting for their PG Final year result or going to have appeared in the exam) must have secured 55% marks in Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degree.

For ST/ SC/ OBC/ PWD/ Transgender (Including candidates waiting for their PG Final year result or going to be appeared in the exam) must have secured 50% marks Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degre


How can I prepare for UGC NET first paper?

To prepare for UGC NET you need to have the right strategy and the right kind of books to start your preparation. Go through the previous question papers thoroughly.  Set a target, the score which you want to achieve.

When you start preparing for UCG NET first paper, always remember these points:

  1. Mark the topics which should be prepared
  2. Then divide your syllabus into three parts (Strong, moderate, and weak) according to your knowledge and mastery over the topic.
  3. Make mind that there is no negative marking so attempt all the questions but attempting a question with right answer is always better than attempting with a guess, so start preparation with positive mindset.

Paper 1 is mainly designed to check the aptitude ability of the aspire candidate and it is designed with 10 topics. So you should prepare for all these topics.

Is UGC NET Paper 1 common?

Yes, UGC NET Paper1 is common and compulsory for all the candidates whereas question in Paper2 will be based on the specified subjects. UGC NET paper 1 will have 50 MCQ each consider 2 marks.


How many subjects are there in UGC NET Paper 1?

Paper 1 is designed to look at the teaching skills and research skills of candidates. General information on the context of the teaching profile is combined with comprehension skills tested in this section. There are ten themes / sections covering the entire Paper 1 of UGC NET 2021.

 


What salary is offered after qualifying UGC NET exam?

Once you qualify UGC NET exam, you can get easily RS 45,000 per month as assistant professor. Once you get promoted to associate professor, salary gets almost doubled and you get RS.80, 000 per month. And once you are professor your salary will be RS.  82,000 per month.


Is it possible that one student can take participate in UGC net exam in two subjects at once?

No, it is not possible to write two subjects at once in UGC NET. You can concentrate only any one subject. For applying for UGC NET, you need to have a master’s degree in your subject.


Does UGC pay the salary and allowances of the State University teachers?

The UGC does not pay the salary of the State University teachers. The maintenance grants, including the salary of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the state universities is paid by the State Government the State Universities which also include the concerned’ The UGC provides General Development Assistance to component of salary to the newly appointed teaching staff subject to the undertaking furnished by the state government concerned to take over the liability of the post(s) after the end of the plan period during which the posts have been approved by the Commission.


How can I verify my UGC degree?

A legitimate university may offer a degree defined under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, with the appropriate approval of its respective councils and statutory bodies, wherever necessary and in accordance with the Regulations promulgated by the UGC from time to time.


Is distance education approved by UGC?

The UGC allows 14 institutions to offer degree programs until 2025. The list of state-recognized institutions contains the names of ODL programs for universities approved by The University Grants Commission (UGC). UGC has warned institutions not to offer degree programs that are unknown to them.

The Institute of Higher Education will not offer any Open and Distance Learning Program and / or Internet Program and will admit students to that program unless approved by the Commission and admission will not be made pending approval,” this is the UGC notice.
