Explanation : Total literate = 25% of 1000 =250. Male = 60% of 1000 = 600. Female = 40% of 1000 = 400. Male literate = 20% of 600 = 120. ∴ Female literate = 250 - 120 = 130. ∴ Required percentage = 130/400 xl00 % = 32.5%
