exposure to people, or any pollution. Disposal
of low-level waste is straightforward and can
be undertaken safely almost anywhere. Salt is
generally suitable for heat-generating HLW,
and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency has a
'Salt Club' researching this. Containment of
the radio nuclides in the waste form mostly
relies on the almost complete absence of
water flow in the salt.
