Explanation : The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
were eight international development goals for
the year 2015 that had been established following
the Millennium Summit of the United Nations
in 2000, following the adoption of the United
Nations Millennium Declaration. MDGs-
which range from halving extreme poverty
rates to halting the spread of HIV / AIDS and
providing universal primary education, all by
the target date of 2015-form a blue print agreed
to by all the world's countries and the entire
world's leading development institutions.
